Moving through change with more balance and ease

Nicole left the Netherlands in her early twenties and has been exposed to other countries, cultures and languages since. She has always been curious about human resilience and how people develop the ability to change, learn and deeply enjoy life, independent of circumstances.

After a few decades in the corporate world, she changed direction to both connect and work with people in a different way. While she earned her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, she was introduced to the powerful changes that mindfulness can bring. This led her to decide to train as mindfulness teacher as a way of helping people to improve their lives.

For the last decade, she lived in Portland, Oregon, where she certified as an MBSR instructor (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction). She further has been trained as a Mindful Self-Compassion trainer, MBSR for teens, and NLP. Nicole teaches mindfulness to individuals and groups, mainly in English, but also in Dutch.

Are changes such as moving, relocating or adjusting to new cultures or work environments a major part of your life? Or have you experienced changes in your physical health or other transitions for your family or children? Sometimes life can feel overwhelming, whether that is because of work issues, relationship issues, big changes in your life such as a move or a loss. These situations can give you a sense of being disconnected, with yourself and your environment, and you don’t feel the support you need. And whatever you do, it doesn’t seem to solve that feeling. 

Mindfulness is a not a panacea to all of this. But it’s a way of looking at the world, and your own world, in a different way. It can make life lighter, where you look at the challenges of life in a more connected, courageous and loving manner. Allowing you to move through change with more balance and ease. 

My passion is to share mindfulness and to explore in a playful manner what mindfulness can bring to your personal journey!
